The 8th annual Music for Mission tribute concert features local musicians bringing their talents to the musical legacy of the Carter-Cash family. The program will cover the early days of A.P. and Mabelle Carter and the Carter Sisters, followed by June Carter and Johnny Cash through to Roseanne Cash and Carlene Carter. This dynasty influenced American country, gospel, bluegrass, folk, blues, rockabilly, rock, and Americana spanning the years 1927 to the present. Musicologist Dr. Ron Pen will be the emcee.

Tickets are free (maximum of 4 tickets per person) and in exchange the audience is asked to make a donation to the Central Music Academy, a non-profit organization that provides free music lessons to Lexington kids.
